4th day of IPL cricket: Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings

Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings (RR-vs-CSK)will face off on the fourth day of the IPL-13, which is being played in the midst of the Covid-19 cut-off.  It will definitely be a hard lesson for the Rajasthan Royals(RR) to stop the Chennai Super Kings(CSK), who started the campaign with confidence by easily defeating last year’s winners Mumbai Indians (MI)in the opening match.  With the absence of players like Ben Stokes, hopes and fears about captain Steven Smith for a brain injury have emerged as another big problem for Rajasthan(RR).

Stokes, New Zealand, has arrived in the UAE to live with his ailing father.  He is expected to remain in custody for up to 36 hours.  That’s why he can’t play Tuesday’s match.  Rajasthan will also miss out on the services of English star Jose Butler.  Smith will be available for today's match, coach Andrew McDonald said.  Whether or not he will play will depend on the green light of the Cricket Australia Health Committee.  While Rajasthan's balance has been disrupted due to lack of stokes, if Smith fails to join the team for any reason, Chennai are likely to secure their second consecutive victory.  With the Rajasthan Royals (RR)lacking Indian big players, the team’s success will largely depend on its foreign stars.  That is why the success of England all-rounder Joffra Archer will be crucial.  South African David Miller and Australian fast bowler Andrew Tai also have to play well.  Rajasthan (RR) has Indian stars like Sanju Samson, Robin Uthappa, Jaydev Unadkat and Barun Aaron.  For the past several years, they have been unable to perform promisingly.

Chennai, on the other hand, is quite rich and powerful with talented and experienced players.  Young players like Sam Karan (England) have already shown their magic from the start of the campaign.  So the team doesn’t feel Dwayne Bravo’s absence.  Similarly, Ambati Rayudu has been able to make up for the losses suffered by left-arm batsman Suresh Raina.  Faf du Plessis is also in fantastic form.  Although veteran Harbhajan Singh is not in the team, Piyush Chawla has successfully filled the void.  If Deepak Chahar, who was injured in the last over of the Mumbai Indians (MI), is not fit, it could cause some problems for Chennai (CSK).  So if the choir fails to play, the team has the option of taking Sardul Thakur.

Possible Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Ambati Rayudu, Faf du Plessis, Sen Watson, Kedar Yadav, Rabindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Piyush Chawla, Sam Karan, Murali Vijay, Jose Hazelwood, Karen J  Engidi.

Possible Rajasthan Royals (RR): Steven Smith (captain), Robin Uthappa, Sanju Samson, Jofra Archer, Osane Thomas, Yashwant Jaiswal, Andrew Tai, David Miller, Tom Kuran, Manan Vora, Shreyas Paragor, Shreyas Gopal,
