Sambalpur: The Corona epidemic has been teaching the world a lot.  At a time of crisis, one country is reluctant to help another, and the situation in foreign countries is dire.  Learning from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on the people to be self-reliant and to lead the country by chanting the slogan of "Vocal for Local".  So the people of the country are now expressing their faith in the products made in the country as well as using them.

 In this regard, a resident of Sambalpur and a Member of Parliament from Bargarh, Bargarh, has taken an innovative step to promote the 'Sambalpuri Handloom'.  The monsoon session of Parliament begins on Monday in the capital, New Delhi.  The issue's end has the recaptured Doomsday in the control of the Lok Sabha and the Lok Sabha.  MP Suresh Pujari has distributed 500 ‘Sambalpuri masks’ to take the handicrafts (Sambalpuri) of western Odisha to all corners of the country.  Supriya Sule, daughter of Maharashtra's female MP and senior politician Sharad Pawar, tweeted to thank Suresh for the Sambalpuri mask.  Wearing a Sambalpuri mask, the MPs took photos and tweeted to thank the MPs.  Suresh said in his Twitter handle that the Sambalpuri mask, created by Sanjay Meher, the Boyanika director of Bargarh, was presented to the MPs in the Lok Sabha in India.  "It is a small effort to reach out to all corners of India by promoting the traditional handlooms of our region in the best panchayats of the year," Suresh said.  The MP's efforts are being praised in all quarters.

 It is worth noting that the world court of Sambalpuri textiles and textiles has a huge market with many demands.  However, the demand for this handloom market has not been as high as it should have been at the government level.  So far, whatever Sambalpuri clothing has been spread has only been made possible by the people.  So if it is properly promoted at the government level and propagated at home and abroad, Sambalpuri handicraftsmen will be encouraged and they will be able to make huge profits and this will really serve the purpose of ‘Vocal for Local’.
