Jammu and Kashmir: Three militants were killed in an army encounter
Jammu and Kashmir: Three militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Srinagar. According to ANI, the encounter took place in Batmalu area of Srinagar. Police and CRPF personnel are investigating.
Earlier on Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir police spotted a gang of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist organizations. A group of three Kashmiri youths has been reported to be in contact with Pakistani militants, police said.
The three youths are identified as Arshid Ahmed Khan, a resident of Gutli Bagh, Mahid Rasul, a resident of Ganderbal, and Mohammad Asif Nazar. The three were in contact with Pakistani terrorist Fayyaz Khan. He ordered them to carry out terrorist activities.
The operation was carried out by a joint team of Ganderbal Police and 5RR. After the arrest, the three were interrogated in which arms and electrical equipment were recovered from them.
