BENGALURU, Sept 15  VK Shashikala, the closest confidant of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister  Heavenly Jayalalithaa, is serving a life sentence in a Bengaluru Central Jail.  He is expected to be released in January 2021.  He is currently in jail after being convicted of embezzlement.  If he fails to pay the fine, his release date could be moved to February 2021.  The information was given by the Superintendent of Central Jail from Bengaluru.  In addition, the date of his release may change if he takes parole.
