SAI Upgrade SOP-UdraNews

New Delhi, Sep 16 (Udrakhabar): The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has upgraded its Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to handle Covid-19 before the start of national camps.  Accordingly, athletes must remain in self-isolation for 15 days before joining the camp.  The four-member committee, chaired by Sai Secretary Rohit Bharadwaj, formed the original SOP last May to resume sports activities across the country.  After five months of shooting, the national camp of some other sports, including boxing, athletics and badminton, has already begun.  Upgraded SOPs have been developed for new trainees to join the training camp.  This is for those who want to join the camp now or later.  The rules for the demolition of the Low-Ventilation Changing Room, the training equipment to be free of infection after each use, and the use of gyms on a shift basis are already in place by Sai.  Testing and Self-Isolation Upgrade SOP.  Prior to joining the training camp, all co-sponsors will be borne by the coaches and the support staff.  Athletes must remain in self-isolation for 15 days before arriving at the camp.  Thus the self-declaration must be presented.  The RT-PCR test is mandatory for all athletes, coaches and support staff before the trip to the center.  "Before entering the center, they have to submit a Covid-19 negative certificate," Sai said.
