Bhubaneswar: Senior artist and cine director Ajit Das is no longer with us.  He died at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.  He was 71 years old at the time of his death.  Ajit Das has been informed by his wife Maya Das about his death.  He is a veteran actor of Oriya cine world.  He has directed several films with stage actors.

 He has acted in more than 40 films during his lifetime.  Learned acting from NSD.  She made her villainous debut in 'Sindur Bindu' in the 19th century.  Later, he also acted in the popular Oriya films 'Hakim Babu', 'Ma' and 'Tundbaid'.  His death has left a void in the world of Oriya cinema.
