The Congress will take down the movement:The issue of taking women in trolleys

The Congress will take down the movement:The issue of taking women in trolleys.

The incident of carrying Kabir Bhoi, a woman from Puri district's Satyavadi block, in a trolley from Puri to Cuttack Bada Medical College itself has exposed the incompetence of the state health department.  Former PCC president Prasad Harichandan alleged that this was just a sample of deteriorating health care in the state.  The Congress will take down the agitation in the state over this issue.  Prasad told a press conference at the Congress building on Tuesday that the 108 ambulance service was being used for someone's sake.  The government should provide Rs 20 lakh to Kabir's family.  The Additional Chief Administrative Secretary of the Department of Health should conduct a high-level impartial inquiry into the incident and take firm action against the culprits.  Asked what the government had learned from the Dan Majhi incident, Prasad said the general public would respond in the coming days.  Spokesperson Nishikant Mishra questioned the role of doctors at the Puri General Hospital.  While the government was preparing the infrastructure to make Puri a medical college, Sukanti could not be diagnosed and asked why she was sent home instead of being sent to Cuttack or Bhubaneswar for further treatment.
