A similar rumor has surfaced from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, which is unbelievable.  Panchayat elections were held in a village called Pipad tehsil.  The rivalry between the beautiful goddess and the goddess Maku continued.  In the end, the beautiful goddess defeated Maku Devi by 84 votes.  Defeated by this slight difference, Maku Devi called a thanksgiving meeting.  At the meeting, the villagers became so thoughtful that they decided to help Maku Devi financially.  In a short time, they raised Rs 21 lakh.  The villagers put the money on Maku Devi's husband and kicked her out of the house.  The winning party was then greeted by a wreath-laying ceremony.  Such measures taken by the villagers to boost morale have now become the talk of the town.
