The test centers of DELEd will be within 5 km of each DELEd.

Bhubaneswar: This year's DELEd, test takers have been reluctant to stay away from their residences due to Covid-19 infection.  They are worried about the difficulty of staying during exams as they are away from their DIET / ETEI / DRC etc. where they are studying.  In a meeting organized by the Department of Schools and Mass Education, it was decided that the test centers for this year's DELEd will be set up within 5 km of each DIET, as some candidates are interested in conducting the exams online.

Attempts will be made to ensure that the examinees stay in their DIET / ETEI / DRC as much as possible.  Candidates who do not wish to avail the facility will be allowed to take the test at the Center, taking into account their views (options) on where they can take the test facility.  Candidates will be given this option through the DELEd they are studying.  The board will issue a notification as soon as possible, said Schools and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Das.  The test centers will be equipped with thermal screening and sanitization, and the test will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines of Kovid-16.  If necessary, the test schedule will be changed temporarily.  Almost all of the tests are now conducted offline, following the guidelines of Covid-16.  In this regard, all departments are requested to cooperate in administering the exam offline.

Candidates can apply by October 18.  The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education, Mr. Ramasis Hazra and senior officials.
