 The 'Saubhagyavati Yojana' will provide special kits to pregnant women and newborns.

The Uttarakhand government is set to launch a scheme soon.  Named after Saubhagyavati.  The plan is to provide essential maternity care for pregnant women and newborns in the state.  The scheme will be launched by the Department of Women and Child Development, Uttarakhand.  It aims to promote proper nutrition and hygiene for pregnant women and newborns.  

Chief Minister Tribhuvan Singh Rawat said the program would provide two separate kits for a pregnant woman and her newborn baby.  The kit will have 6-8 types of items.  This will include dried fruits, women's and children's clothing, sanitary napkins, diapers, wool shawls, blankets, bed sheets, soaps and oils.  In the first phase, 30,000 to 40,000 pregnant women will benefit from the scheme, the chief minister said.
