New Delhi, Sep 16: India's GDP growth will slow by 4% in the current financial year. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said in a report on Tuesday that it was having a profound impact on GDP as domestic market activity and demand were affected by the corona epidemic. The bank said in its Asian Development Outlook that India will return to growth in the 2021-22 financial year. The return to mobility and business activity will benefit the domestic market. The bank expects India's growth rate to be 8% at the moment. ADB chief economist Yasuyuki Sawada said the market was hit hard by the lockdown imposed by the Indian government across the country. The bank has advised to focus on improving testing, health facilities to prevent infection.
