The Crime Branch STF team raided the Chandka area of ​​Khordha district and arrested two gun dealers and seized a large racket.  The two traders arrested were Rakesh Chandra Jena and Vikas Behera.  During the investigation, four firearms and 12 rounds of ammunition were found.  Among them were two magazines with a 7MM pistol, a magazine, a Taiwanese revolver, four indigenous revolvers (ammunition) and an SBML gun, and a 7.62MM SLI with ammunition.  The two accused were arraigned in Bhubaneswar's SDJM court under Section 25/27 of the Amtoux Act, Section 25/20, Case No. 25/20.  They have been remanded in custody pending a bail hearing.  The STFF will remand them in custody for five days to further crack down on the smuggled gun racket.  An appeal will be made to the court soon.  Crime Branch ADG Soumendra Priyadarshi, who continued to raid the STF to apprehend others, told a news conference on Friday at the STF office.
