 Blue Army's glorious victory in last league match, Hyderabad loses heart to Mumbai

Mumbai's stunning victory in the last league match of the current IPL season.  Rohit team defeated Hyderabad by 42 runs.  Defending champions Mumbai have been ruled out of the play-offs in the last league match, but the Sunrisers beat Hyderabad by a huge margin in the run-up to the Blue Army.

 In the match played in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat first.  The opening of Ishan Kishan and Captain Rohit Sharma from Mumbai was compelling.  Ishan's 84 and Suryakumar's 82 helped the Blue Army score 236 runs in 20 overs against Hyderabad.  Sunrisers Hyderabad also got off to a good start in pursuit of this huge goal.  In the first powerplay, Hyderabad trailed by winning by more than 10 runs per over.

However, if the Mumbai Indians had beaten Hyderabad by more than 171 runs on Friday, the team could have made the playoffs.  But the most successful team in IPL history is the Mumbai Indians.  Rohit Team has won IPL titles in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.  No other team has had such success.  This time around, however, the Mumbai Indians have been ruled out of the IPL trophy.

 The ongoing IPL league match, on the other hand, ended today with two stellar matches.  In addition, four teams have now secured their place in the IPL play-offs.  The Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders will face off in the playoffs to become champions.
