5% tax on TV panels from October

MUMBAI: The government has ordered a 5% tax on TV open panels imported from October 1.  He acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat Lukashenko's government.  But the companies are of the opinion that the government’s decision will increase TV prices.  The decision was taken by the government before Parvan.  As a result, TV prices are expected to rise.  In the last one year, the government has eliminated such taxes.  It was decided to compete with Indian companies in countries such as China and Vietnam.  As a result, companies like Samsung left Vietnam and focused on manufacturing in India.  It teamed up with local company Dixon Technology to move the plan forward.  An official opined that TV prices would not have much of an impact on government taxes.  TV prices are projected to rise by about 4%.  It could go up by about Rs 600 in the 32-inch category and by around Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,500 on the 42-inch.  According to the new decision, the company will focus on real manufacturing rather than assembly.
