Social security policies for unorganized workers

New Delhi: About 50 crore workers working in the unorganized sector across the country will soon get social security.  Union Labor Minister Santosh Ganguly introduced the Labor Bill 3 Bill in the Lok Sabha on Saturday.  These include Code of Conduct for Industrial Relations, Code of Conduct for Social Security and Code of Conduct for Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions.  The government is optimistic that these laws will help improve the lives of workers.  The government has taken such a step to expedite labor reform within the country by presenting the Ganguly Bill.

Farms that employ up to 300 workers to provide social security to unorganized sector workers, lay off workers without government permission, study the problems of interstate workers, the minimum wage across the country, the National Floor Level Wage, the minimum wage, and the minimum wage.  It also includes the possibility of paying wages and a minimum salary of Rs 15,000, depending on the strategy and geographical location.  The final decision will be made by the committee.  On the other hand, the bill provides for timely payment of wages, and does not discriminate against male and female employees in wages.  The federal government has amended four labor laws to make it work.  Similarly, 12 laws have been repealed and 3 of the 4 old laws have been included in the new code.  In all, there are indications that the Labor Code will work in place of the 29 laws.
