Comparing Odisha to Pakistan, Controversy in baijayanta panda
New Delhi: BJP national vice-president Baijayanta Panda has fallen on deaf ears compared to Odisha. The BJP has strongly criticized Baijayant's controversial remarks on Twitter. In Odisha and Maharashtra, the abduction of media representatives by police is shameful, ”said Baijayanta Panda. Like Pakistan, here the police are directly harassing the media representatives in defiance of legal procedures and regulations. He called on OTV representative Ramesh Rath to speak out, saying that this was true fascism.
The opposition BJP got a political weapon after baijayant's controversial tweet. Party lawmakers and leaders directly targeted Baijayanta. Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty made three consecutive tweets in the Twitter battle. Baijayant's tweet was linked to the Oriya deity Mahaprabhu Sreejagnath and the Oriya Bhavabesh by the Kendrapara MP. The entire country wanted to know how Baijayant had the courage to compare Odisha to Pakistan, the holy land of Mahaprabhu Shree Gannath. He recalled that he had represented the holy land before losing the 2019 election. If Kendrapara soil looks like part of Pakistan, you should leave Odisha forever. The Center MP said the incident of cheating and insulting the motherland was extremely embarrassing.
MP Amar Patnaik, in his tweet, pointed out that the public is not fooled, everyone knows the law. It is highly reprehensible to tarnish the image of others or to spread false news in the name of the right to freedom of expression, even in the name of a tribal female MP. Is such behavior acceptable to an aboriginal woman? MP Dr Patnaik has questioned whether journalism has fallen to the bottom line, abandoning the common sense of decency, decency and human rights. Everyone knows what would have happened if this had happened in Pakistan. MP Dr. Sasmit Patel also commented on the issue, saying that OTV and its promoters, Baijayant Panda and Jagi Panda, are protecting the rights of the concerned representatives who tried to tarnish the image of the junior female MP. Pranab Prakash Das, general secretary (organization) and MLA of the BJP, tweeted that it was "shameful" to insult Odisha's culture and the people of the state by comparing Odisha to Pakistan.
After the controversy escalated, Baijayanta clarified that the BJP was trying to distort the meaning of what I had said. I did not say that Odisha is like Pakistan. I said that the Odisha and Maharashtra police are behaving like Pakistani police in defiance of the legal process.
