Dashahara at Samaleswari Peeth: Virtual philosophy for the first time
Sambalpur (Udrakhabar): Autumn New Year has come. All the power is moving. Jagajjani's mother will be Dharavatarana. But there will be no devotees this year. Worship of the mother will be performed only in ritual. The presiding deity of the west is Goddess Maa Samaleswari. Crowds of devotees, devotees and tourists flock all year round. But all religious sites have been closed since last March due to the Corona epidemic. Samaleshwari Peeth is closed. During the Sharadiya and Chaitra Navratri, devotees light mental lamps and beg for the blessings of the mother. Despite the closure of the temple this year, new worship has begun. The mental lamp of the devotee is burning with special worship. The Sri Sri Samaleswari Trust Board has been visiting Bhakta Live Maa Samaleswari's Evening Alati on the Trust Board's Facebook page since last August. For the first time this year, the temple was closed during the autumn Dashahra, and a virtual viewing facility was set up on the Facebook page in the morning and evening for devotees, said Sanjay Kumar Babu, chairman of the board.
The 16th healing puja and the lighting of the mental lamp began on October 17 at the presiding deity Maa Samaleshwari Peeth. While the devotees were not present due to the corona cuts, the priest recited the name and tribe and lit a mental lamp. During the autumn Dashahara, the sixteenth healing puja begins at Ashwin Mulastami and ends at Mahanabami. The sixteenth healing puja tradition of Maa Samaleshwari has been going on since the harvest of Balaram Dev, the Chauhan king of Sambalpur. On the date of Pujiauntia or Ashwin Mulastami, offerings are made by worshiping Mother Samaleswari in the form of Durga. Sixteen Jyoti forms such as Durga, Narayani, Ishani, Vishnumaya, Shiva, Sati, Nitya, Satya, Bhagwati, Sharbani, Sarvamangala, Ambika, Vaishnavi, Gauri, Parvati, Sanatani are worshiped. It is customary to worship Ma Samaleshwari in the Bhubaneswar mantra. Every day there are different pleasures.
This year, after the Mahalaya, the rituals have been completed from Mulastami to Maa Durga Jyoti to Satya form, while Ambika Prasad Rai, the chief priest of the Samaleswari temple, who visited Maa Bhagwati on October 14, said the rituals have been completed. The mother is adorned every evening. The unbroken candlelight vigil that began at Pratipada will end with a Ranjita procession with the immersion of lamps on Vijaya Dashmi. In the Mahalaya, Ma Samaleshwari will be dressed in white, while on the full moon day of Kumar, special worship will be performed with the Rajarajaswari costume of the mother and the new flag-raising of the temple. Since the sixteenth healing puja is performed on this pedestal in the form of sixteen lights of Maa Jagdamba, the ten Mahavidyas or Navadurga are not beautiful.
Despite Kovid's cut, the devotee did not respond. Crowds of devotees have been gathering since the first day of Navratri while the main gate of the Samaleswari temple was closed. Devotees are bowing to the streets outside the temple, unable to see their mother directly. Operation, administration agrees on behalf of Zilla cop. The public is being warned to wear masks and maintain social distance. On the other hand, the temple trust board has set up a hundi near the roadside shrines for the money donated by devotees and devotees. In addition, the Board of Trustees is requested to contact the priest for the lighting of the mental lamp and pay for names and tribes on WhatsApp and pay online. Mr. Babu, chairman of the board of trustees, said that the temple premises are being sanitized twice a day in view of the health of the worshipers as well as the worship of the temple as per the schedule.
