Nawaz Sharif's son-in-law Safdar Awan was arrested.
Islamabad: Karachi police have arrested Safdar Awan, son-in-law of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Maryam Nawaz Sharif, daughter of Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader and Nawaz's daughter, tweeted the information. Awan was arrested after a Karachi rally by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Maryam said they were staying at a hotel in Karachi. At this point, the police broke down the door of his room and entered, arresting Captain Safdar Awan. Notably, Miriam Nawaz took part in a protest rally against the Imran Khan government in Pakistan.
Notably, the voice of opposition against the Imran Khan government in Pakistan is intensifying. Protests and rallies against the Imran government are on the rise. This has been a source of concern for Imran Khan and the Pakistani military.
Many people gathered at a rally in Karachi. At the rally, Maryam Nawaz lashed out at the Imran government. "Imran will be in jail if we return to power," he said. Maryam Nawaz was the first to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the coronation. "Imran Khan is hiding his failures and telling people not to be afraid," he said.
