Dharmendra calls on AMNS to invest in Paradip Plant and Kalinganagar Steel Hub
ArcelorMittal and Nipan Steel, a senior official of the Mittal and Nipan Steel Company, attended the meeting between senior officials of the Ministry of Steel to increase the capacity of the Paradip Pellet Plant and to invest in the Kalinganagar Steel Hub.
Dharmendra Pradhan said joint ventures such as ArcelorMittal and Nipan Steel were expanding their capabilities in eastern India and playing an important role in Prime Minister Modi's pre-emptive mission. ArcelorMittal and Nipan Steel will play an important role in the development of Odisha's industrial sector by creating an additional 12 metric tonne steel production plan in Odisha annually, which will create employment opportunities for local youth. Similarly, with the increase in capacity of the Paradip plant, ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel will be able to achieve the target steel production capacity of 30 million tonnes (MTPA) annually in the country, he said.
On the occasion, Dharmendra called on ArcelorMittal and Nipan Steel to cooperate at the Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute to be set up in Kalinganagar, an integrated steel hub. Dharmendra also emphasized the need to implement projects in a timely manner, focus on competitive, high-quality steel, capital goods and increasing the use of global steel in India, as well as increasing Indian steel.
The meeting was attended by officials from ArcelorMittal Company and officials from Nipan Steel India, which is expected to produce 300 million tonnes (MTPA) annually of the future roadmap, a national steel policy in the context of a self-reliant India. Steel production was discussed.
