One arrested on IPL betting : money, mobile seized
A man was arrested and taken to court on Tuesday on charges of betting on IPL in Naktiguda village under Kalahandi district's Junagadh police station. He was Ajay Kumar Meher, 43, of Naktiguda Bandapada.
According to police sources, the police had received information that IPL was being set up in Naktiguda village. A team led by police officer Uttam Kumar Sahu prepared a blueprint and carried out the attack. Ajay was betting IPL betting at his shop when he was arrested by the police. IPL fake paper, Rs 3,450, a Samsung mobile phone and an IPL photo were seized from him. A case (No. 269/20) has been registered with the police in this regard. Ajay appears to have been taken to court after his arrest.
