Tik Tok returns: Pakistan lifts ban on Tik Tok for fear of China

New Delhi: Pakistan on October 10 banned the use of Chinese short video app tik-tok.  Pakistan’s telecommunications authorities banned Tik-Tok App as pornographic content was released into it.  But in less than 10 days, Pakistan has reportedly lifted restrictions on tick-to-talk use.  Under pressure from China, Pakistan has come to the force.

The App has already been banned in the United States, including India.  It was said to have been shut down after Pakistani citizens complained about the content being broadcast on it.  But Pakistan has now lifted the ban, seeing relations with China sour after the Tik-Tok app was banned.

A senior Pakistani official told the international media that he had repeatedly called for the removal of obscene and obscene content and for controlling them, but the company did not listen.  "It simply came to our notice then.  Pakistanis will no longer use this app  But now Pakistan has given up on China and ordered the re-launch of the app.

A few months ago, the Indian government banned the Chinese app.  The decision was taken by the Indian government after the clashes in Ladakh.  Last month, the U.S. government imposed austerity measures.
