The investigation into the death of ACF Soumya Ranjan has been completed. The crime branch filed a chargesheet in the name of Vidyabharati. Paralakhemundi ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra's wife Vidya Bharati has been charged in the death case. Following the death of Soumya Ranjan, DFO Sangram Keshari Behera, who is in the news, has been given a clean chit. The Crime Branch has filed a 300-page chargesheet against Vidyabharati in Paralakhemundi court.
Chargesheets have been filed under Vidyabharati under Section 304-A, i.e. death due to negligence, Section 285, i.e. negligence in the event of a fire. Crime Branch DSP Gyan Ranjan Mishra, who is investigating the death of ACF Soumya, has filed a chargesheet in the Paralakhemundi court. Eighty witnesses, everyone's phone call details, Soumya Ranjan's post-mortem report and lay detection report have been filed in court.
Soumya Ranjan's death was not a homicide or a suicide, the crime branch said. His wife, Vidya Bharati, has been charged with negligence while Soumya's body was on fire. Former police chief Sanjeev Marik, on the other hand, has questioned the cryptocurrency's investigation.
Prior to taking charge of the crime branch investigation, Soumya Ranjan's family had questioned the relationship between Vidya Bharati and the DFO. First the Paralakhemundi police and later the crime branch took over the investigation. After an investigation of about a month and a half, Soumya's death was based on evidence and evidence, the crime branch said.
